Joining the AYO’s

Application and enrolment in an AYO ensemble requires a commitment for the entire year (HSC students are to negotiate schedules with the conductor). Applicants must consider their ability to attend rehearsals, workshops, and concerts.

Existing Players

Existing players who are staying n the same ensemble do not need to audition each year. 

Please complete the Existing Player Registration Form

String seating will be managed by a panel of the conductor and string specialists.  They will take into consideration age of the student, standard (AMEB or equivalent), ensemble experience and previous year's attendance.

New Players to Ensembles

All new players will need to audition for all ensembles. Do not be nervous, this all part of your music experience! For more information on auditions, click here

Auditions are held each year in November.   

For the 2025 season - Auditions will be held on Tuesday 26 November 2024.

After audition notification/acceptance, complete membership form by Friday 3 February 2025.

Fees due by Tuesday 14 February 2025 - Early Bird incentive by Friday 10 January 2025.

All membership must be paid prior to the Sawtell Music Camp weekend for insurance purposes.
